Aromatic chocolate is an exploration of chocolate as a physical material. It investigates the boundaries between taste and smell.

Chocolate is one of the most universal edible confectioneries on this planet. Almost everyone has a chocolate-related story. As a physical material, it offers a large palette of textures and colors. It is also known as a polymorph and is highly receptive to odors.

Aromatic chocolate is creating a new eating experience inspired by the porous surface of the chocolate and our five senses. Smell is at the core of this experience. Retro-nasal olfaction, or mouth smell, is the ability to perceive food flavors while inhaling.

This chocolate experience offers the option to choose which smell or flavor we want to add as a layer of aroma to our chocolate consumption. By pulverizing an essence or a puff of spice through the chocolate display you can create a personalized aromatic chocolate tablet.

Consuming less in a more engaging manner will allow for a more mindful chocolate consumption experience.
